There is so much Oregon History in Aurora Oregon and the innkeepers of the Feller House Bed and Breakfast want to share it all with you as they’ve shared it this past week with Red Chair Travels
From 1840 to 1860, the total number of people who traveled the Oregon, California, and Mormon Trails in wagon trains is estimated to be between 315,000 and 320,000, well over a quarter-million people. This is widely regarded as one of the largest voluntary mass movements of people in human history.
From the early to mid-1830s the Oregon Trail and its many offshoots were used by about 400,000 settlers, ranchers, farmers, miners, and businessmen and their families, many settling in the Willamette Valley.
